Sarah Turner
Executive Headteacher/CEO - Enfield Learning Trust

I have been a headteacher for over 17 years and currently work as an Executive Headteacher leading a federation of two large urban primary schools in North London. The schools serve diverse communities with high numbers of free school meals and EAL pupils. I am a National Leader of Education (NLE) and Bowes is a National Support School (NSS). In April 2012 Bowes became a National Teaching School and part of the Enfield Teaching School Alliance.

Pamela Rutherford
Headteacher - Enfield County School

I began my career as a history teacher in 1979 at Enfield County School - a multi-cultural, all girls' split site comprehensive school. After taking on several posts of responsibility I was appointed to my first Deputy Headship - that of Pastoral Deputy in 1989. I later changed my role to Curriculum Deputy before being appointed Headteacher in January 2006. I gained my MA in Education in 1993 and the NPQH in 2002. A main focus of my work has been in strategic planning and school improvement. I drafted the bids for Enfield County to become a Beacon School and Language College and co-ordinated the school to school support such roles demanded. Enfield County has been subjected to 3 Ofsted inspections, since I became Headteacher, in 2006, 2009 and most recently October 2012. The school has been designated outstanding in all of them. Over the years I have built up positive local networks with other schools and educational institutions both in Enfield and the neighbouring boroughs. I have been Secretary and Chair of the Enfield Secondary Headteachers Forum. I was designated a NLE in March 2012 and most recently Enfield County School has become a strategic partner in ETSA - The Enfield Teaching School Alliance.
