Modern Foreign Languages
Gael Luzet
Achievement in my current role:
Originally from France, I have been teaching in UK Secondary Schools for the last 15 years. I became an Advanced Skills Teacher in January 2006, as well as a mentor for newly qualified and trainee teachers. I have also been employed as an external examiner for an ITT provider. Over the last 6 years, I have led several professional networks on effective language teaching skills, Gifted and Talented education and higher-order teaching skills. I have helped colleagues develop pupil participation and collaborative learning strategies in a wide range of primary and secondary schools. Now in charge of Teaching and Learning in Enfield County School, I organise and run a yearly CPD programme where I encourage teachers to implement practical and innovative ideas. Last year, I published a book on Collaborative Learning for the Teachers' Pocketbook series.
